Our methodologies are premised on open technologies such as web services and XML, as well as the principles of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). SOA is not a trivial undertaking; it requires the adoption of a service paradigm and infrastructure. However, once this has been adopted and exchanges have been implemented, the open architecture enables agility and scalability without dependence upon proprietary vendor products.

The following chart depicts a high-level view of a service-oriented architecture, similar to what URL Integration typically proposes for its clients. The architecture uses web services over http as its messaging layer. The design is, of course, subject to change based upon work with stakeholders through the course of the planning cycle; however, this is a solid starting point based upon our experience and industry standards.
